Meet Dr. Gary Wyatt
Dr. Wyatt was born and raised in Long Beach, California. After attending California State University, Long Beach, he completed his undergraduate dental training at UCLA, graduating with a D.D.S. in 1971. He completed an internship at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburg, PA and finished his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Miami Medical School/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1975. He has been in private practice since that time.
Dr. Wyatt has been an instructor in the oral and maxillofacial surgery departments at UCLA and UCI/VA in the past. He became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1979. He is a member of the California, Western and American Societies of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Wyatt performs all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery: including trauma (fractured facial bones), orthognathic and reconstructive jaw surgery, TMJ surgery including laser arthroscopy and total joint replacement. He has been placing dental implants since the later 1970’s. He treats every patient with care and compassion.
Dr. Wyatt has been married to Cathy for over thirty years. Cathy is an avid golfer and cyclist. They have four children who are all married. Krista is a teacher in San Diego. Geoff lives and works in Mt. Vernon, Washington. James is working as a neurotech at The Brain Treatment Center and lives in Irvine. Gabe is a critical care nurse at Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach. Dr. Wyatt has seven beautiful grand children who he loves and spoils.
Dr. Wyatt enjoys surfing, skiing, golfing, recreational and competitive cycling. He has been active in the Newport-Mesa community for over thirty years.
